Many people ask us about color contacts. Colored contacts are available from a few manufacturers but are not available in all brands or prescriptions. People who wear toric lenses (lenses that correct for astigmatism) can also get color contacts, but the choices in brand, design, etc are even more limited. Typically colored contact lenses also cost a little more and can take longer to order. There is no added danger to wearing colored contacts, although if they are fit poorly they can lead to decreased vision as the colored part will move directly in your line of sight. Besides typical colored contacts we are also able to get specialty lenses, like the contacts worn in ‘Star Wars’ and other movies.
